Ultralight Windscreens

No stove should be without a windscreen. Alcohol stoves burn hotter and more efficiently when used with a windscreen. The windscreen blocks the wind but it also reflects some heat back to the stove keeping the stove hot which makes the alcohol vaporize better.

We decided to size our windscreens to fit the type of pot you will be using. All can be trimmed smaller.

Small Size: Fits small bottomed pots and mugs 4" and smaller like a Hiney Pot or Evernew 640.
Medium Size: Fits pots 5.5" or smaller like an MSR titan Kettle
Large Size: Fits pots 7" or smaller like the Evernew 1.3L Pot

Tip: It is always best leave about .5" to .75" between the side of the pot and windscreen for the best performance. You can cut a notch for the handle but I find it's easier to just leave a gap between the 2 ends where the handle is. The slit also allows you to blow the stove out. If you use the right sized stove for the pot you won't have hot handles. Hot handles come from too wide a flame spread.
