Guyline 170# Spectra Core - 50 ft

Guyline
We have looked at a lot of lines before choosing this one. Lets face it, do you really need 500lb breaking strength for guylines. We don't think so either. There are a lot of 100% Spectra lines out there and we don't think they work that well for guylines. Yeah they are light weight but they are very slippery so they don't hold knots well, are very prone to abrasion and UV damage. Because they are so thin they tangle easily.

This line has a Spectra core with a Dacron sheath braided on the outside. The combination of both of these make this line extremely lightweight and it ties and holds knots really well.

We also highly recommend using Micro-Loc guyline adjusters with this line. They are easy to adjust even with gloves on.

Not recommended for hanging Bear Bags in trees. The braided sheath is abrasive and will cut the bark and possibly get stuck. We recommend The Griz - Ultralight Bear Bag Line.

Tip: For Guylines on most solo and duo tarps, we suggest the following lengths: Front corners (5'), rear corners (4'), side (4') and the ridgelines (7.5') which leaves about 9' for other uses.
